When it comes to marketing online, having a clear monetization strategy is a must, if not you will not make any money. People who are new to online marketing are usually very confused about this and they just cannot pin point what exactly is going on. Sometimes, even the more seasoned marketers also have issues with their strategy.

In short, there are a few important components in an online business:

• traffic: getting visitors to your website
• conversion: converting visitors into profits

You are about to discover how you can combine them to work in your favor. Then you will also see how you can use content for getting traffic, improving conversions and much more…..

Conversion Strategy: How Do You Get Paid?

Some of the most common ways for you to get paid:

• selling digital/physical products as a merchant
• selling digital/physical products as an affiliate
• selling your services as a free lancer
• selling ad space on your website/blog
• placing ads like AdSense or eBay ads
• allow others to buy your business

There are so many good strategies out there and you need to pick one main strategy for your business. You can also combine more than one strategy, however, you need to make sure your combination works well.

For example, I usually have digital products which I sell as a merchant and at the same time, I promote other products as an affiliate. I do not sell ad space or put up AdSense or eBay ads.

You would notice that many bloggers sell ad space, put up AdSense or eBay ads. You would also noticed that some of them also provide services such as writing, design, programming and more.

Some people build a website with only one intention which is to sell if off at a high price. Personally, I am not in favor of this strategy because it takes too long to get paid.

Traffic Strategy: How Do You Get Traffic?

There are main 2 categories of traffic, though there are many sources of traffic:

• paid traffic: pay per click, banners ads, ezine ads, pay per view
• organic traffic: seo, articles, blogging, social media, referral

What I just mentioned are the more common sources of traffic, there are much more traffic sources that I have not mentioned yet. If I were to mention everything, this would become a super long blog post.

Notice that I said organic traffic instead of saying free traffic? Organic traffic requires more work and it takes more time than paid traffic. Ultimately, you always have to trade your skills and your effort or your skills and your money for traffic.

Paid Traffic requires you to create compelling ad copy, it is usually easy to track your returns, also the traffic is fast and consistent.

Organic Traffic requires you to put in more effort, tracking is not as easy as paid traffic, also the traffic can be unpredictable.

As for quality of traffic, it all depends on your individual traffic source. Only when you track then you can find out if the quality of your traffic is good. If it is good, your returns will be higher.

From personal experience, paid traffic usually converts into profits much faster than organic traffic.

Traffic And Conversion Match

Also nobody seems to talk about this issue of matching your traffic type to your conversion strategy. You can send very high quality traffic to websites which uses a strategy that does not match the traffic and it would result in no profits.

For paid search traffic, people are actively searching for something, you can send them to a landing page which is usually a salesletter, product review page, product comparison page or squeeze page.

If you give people what they are searching for, conversion should not be an issue. When people click on your ad, usually they know that it is an ad yet they are still willing to click on it, this only shows that they are interested in what you have to offer.

For organic traffic, people are usually searching for information and if you have content on your websites or blogs, they would want to read it. They are expecting content rather than sales pitch.

On your content pages, you could have links to pages which you are selling something. Maybe you are not selling anything except ad space and you also display AdSense or eBay ads.

High Quality Content

Content Leads To Conversion

With high quality, well-researched, well-written content, it will help to build trust and establish credibility. People are not stupid, when they see badly written or poor-presented content, they might want to leave your website fast.

When you use high quality content on your sites, more people will trust you. When people trust you, they will give their attention to you, eventually, they will be more willing to invest in your products or your services or they keep reading your blog and they recommend others to you.

This is how high quality content can lead to better conversions, it will always work, no matter which monetization strategy you choose.

Content Leads To Traffic

Content can be in multiple forms, mainly, text, audio, video. For text, you can submit articles to article directories, post them on information sharing sites (web2.0) and more. For audio and video, you can submit them to their relevant directories.

As you publish your content in many places all over the internet, you get more incoming links. These links will get you direct traffic, such as article marketing and web2.0 sites. When you get more links, your rankings on the search engines will go up.

This is how content can help you get more organic traffic, not too fast, not too slow and you may end up with good long term results.

Text based content (articles) can be converted into videos (power point slides with audio) and submitted to video sites like YouTube.

Your Content Is Your Product

Get serious with your content and treat it as your products, think of it this way:

• presell or review pages are products of an affiliate
• content-based blog posts are products of a blogger
• articles are products of an article marketer
• videos are products of an video marketer
• emails are products of an email marketer
• ppc ads are products of a ppc marketer

Now you can see content in a different light, not only can you package it into an ebook or ecourse to sell on ClickBank, you can also use it for so many other different purposes.

• Start with a simple monetization strategy.
• Build your site with high quality content.
• Buy some traffic and track your results.
• Improve your conversion rates.

I have done this a few times a couple of years ago. Not my favorite way to get traffic but it does work. You will be shown how to do this the right way to get maximum exposure. It does help to establish your credibility as well.

Chapter 7: Advanced Article Marketing
Like it or not, article marketing has always worked and will continue to work for the long term. You will discover how to get unlimited ideas for creating great articles and how to use them to get more traffic.

Chapter 8: Forum Marketing
Once again, not my favorite traffic strategy. She shows you how to find forums and what to do in forums so that people will like you, trust you and visit your site. Remember that people usually buy stuff from people they like and trust.

Chapter 9: Video Marketing
I am not an expert in videos so this chapter helps me a lot. Now I realized that videos can not only get you very targeted traffic, they can get you backlinks which will help you rank better on the search engines.

The thing I like about this chapter is….. I discovered how to dig out hidden traffic sources from YouTube. Some of these sites have AdSense on them, which means I can place my AdWords ads on those sites! That is one great idea to get cheap and targeted traffic!

Chapter 10: Ad Swaps
I have also done ad swaps before. It did not work too well for me then. Now when I read this chapter, I discovered how to make them work well for me. This is one of first things I would implement because it is easy and it cost nothing at all.

Chapter 11: Social Media
Social media is actually more about people and networking, rather than purely getting traffic. As much as I always prefer using paid traffic, I simply cannot ignore social media because it is just so BIG now.

First of all, you need to be in the right social group which your target audience hangs out. Next, you need to have a good profile which will cause people to want to know more about you. This time, first impressions really matter!

On top of higher search engine rankings, social media can help you become the obvious expert in your market, you can get lots of quality backlinks and the best part is probably the networking opportunities.

Chapter 12: Twitter
Twitter appeared to be something silly at first then when I took a closer look, I saw that it can used for networking and credibility building. A long list of tips and tools are provided. Just follow them and it will work well for your business.

Chapter 13: Stumble Upon
By now, you probably know that I am no social media expert. Previously, I stumbled a little, got some traffic and no sales so I stopped. Now I know how to create a proper profile and the proper way to stumble.

Chapter 14: Squidoo
Not all Squidoo lenses are made equal! Most of them sucks. From this chapter, I discovered a clever way to use Squidoo to build my list. Not only am I building my list, I am building my crediblity as the authority in my market. Not forgetting the one-way backlinks as well.

Squidoo lenses are like websites, no point having thousands of them when there is no traffic. You will discover how to get traffic to your squidoo lenses, it is not as hard as you think.

Chapter 15: Email Marketing
I love email marketing! This chapter gives you an idea of what kind of emails to pre-schedule in your email autoresponder sequence. For a good start, simply swipe the emails that she provided. Please do NOT copy word for word, get the idea and write in your own words.

Email Marketing Truth:
The money is NOT in the list!
The money is in the relationship with the list!

Chapter 16: Surveys
It sounds a little strange, ending a manual with the last chapter about surveys. In order to improve your marketing you must experience what your prospect experiences. Just like a chef needs to taste his own food!

Therefore, simply by knowing your customers fears, frustrations, wants, and desires, you will be able to create marketing messages that fit them like a glove. When that happens, conversion rates will skyrocket for sure!

The publisher, Kim Roach, made a smart move by arranging the videos in this cool-looking, sequential, systematic dashboard. 30 videos is a lot so she arranged in such a way that you can easily find what you want, without getting lost.

You can see that there are 5 steps and each step is carefully divided into 6 parts. Some of the videos are short, under 15 minutes, most of the videos are about 30 minutes. Very newbie-friendly indeed, even the seasoned marketers can pick up many good ideas here and there.

Conclusion

Writing this long review certainly took me time! Reality is there is almost no such thing as instant! Instant Payday Formula will make you money, that is for sure. Instantly? Surely not.

You can update it easily and conveniently without any downtime. You do not even have to upload any files using your FTP software.

Click on the link that says Please update now. Then click on the button that says Update Automatically. You are done with updating!

Updating Plugins

WordPress plugins (modules) are also ever-improving and the developers keep coming up with newer and better versions. Whenever you see an indicator on your sidebar, you know there are new versions available.

You can even update many plugins all at once. Go to Dashboard and click on Update. Check the Select All box and click on Update Plugins.

Now that you have installed WordPress, you just need some custom settings and it will optimized to perform at the optimum level. These settings and plugins have been tested over time and they still work very well as of today. Login to WordPress: http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin

Select your theme.	Customize the settings.

• Permalinks:

First and most important setting is none other than permalinks, select custom structure, add this /%postname% in and save it.

• Writing (Update Services):

Click on writing, scroll down and you will see update services, delete everything in there and save it.

• Headspace Page Modules:

Click on page modules.

Drag all the following modules into simple:
- Page Title
- Page Description
- Tags
- Meta-Robots
- Raw Data
- Raw Footer Data
- JavaScript
- Stylesheets
- Page-Specific Template

• Headspace Page Settings:

Click on page settings.

Click on the following settings to expand them:
- Search Pages
- 404 Page
- Attachment Pages
- Login Pages

Check no follow and no index and save them individually.

• Contact Form:

Add your email address, add this code, , on your post or page where you want it to appear. Add it with HTML mode, not visual mode.

• DDSitemapGen:

Add this code, , on your post or page where you want it to appear. Add it with HTML mode, not visual mode.

• DDSig:

Add this code, , on your post or page where you want it to appear. Add it with HTML mode, not visual mode. You can also choose to have it automatically appear on all posts or all pages.

WordPress Theme Optimization

You can also download these 2 themes (for landing pages) which are already optmized. In short, I use Ariel fonts for main text and either Impact font or Tahoma font for headings because it is easy to read on screen.

You can edit your footer.php and header.php. You can also choose to add or edit header links and footer links. They already have 3 links, yourdomain.com/contact, yourdomain.com/privacy-policy, yourdomain.com/disclaimer, so remember to create the pages.

“How To Install WordPress…..”

Just in case you have not downloaded WordPress. You can simply download WordPress with themes and plugins which I complied for you.

If you already installed WordPress, you can download only the plugins, or you can also choose to download these landing page themes. Remember to download .htaccess, this is for long-term SEO benefits. Meanwhile here are all the necessary instructions.

Cpanel

Login to your cpanel.

Uploading .htaccess

.htaccess must be uploaded in ASCII mode. Most other files should be uploaded in binary mode.

Uploading WordPress

Take your WordPress Zip File, extract the zip file. Edit wp-config.php, you can open it with NotePad or WordPad and add your MySQL database, username and password into it.

The code looks like this:

Here is a quick tip to improve the security of your WordPress installation by updating your secret key.

The code looks like this:

Go to WordPress Secret Key Generator, copy the secret key and paste it. If you want a different key, just refresh the page.

After editing your wp-config.php, upload everything into the folder. The themes that you download from here are already modified to load fast, however you must upload into a root folder, yourdomain.com.

Do NOT upload the themes into sub-domains (sub.yourdomain.com) or sub-folders (yourdomain.com/folder). If you are unsure how to upload files, check out this file manager tutorial.

MySQL Database

Create MySQL database and MySQL user. Add MySQL user to database. Remember to select all privileges. Give your database and user the same name so that you will not get confused later on. If you are unsure how to create MySQL, here is a MySQL tutorial.

Installation

Now you are ready to install. Go to www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin and start your installation. Once done, delete install.php (inside wp/admin) and the zip file. Your installation is done!
