Today, I just want to share with you a clever way to understand your web visitors better. By doing that you will be able to boost your conversion rates for your landing pages and sales pages very quickly. Before I continue, I need to tell you about a very popular song which nobody should ever sing in any wedding…..
Guess what, the song you should never sing at a wedding is none other than….. Every Breath You Take by The Police…..
Why not? It is such a nice song which many people love and so many people already sang it at their wedding. You see, I am not about to make fun of anybody and I really like the music of The Police.
Listen carefully to the lyrics, it is all about surveillance, control, jealousy and being possessive. Do you think you want these few elements in your marriage? Probably not, right?
Anyway, here is part of the original lyrics:

every bond you break, every step you take,
I’ll be watching you…..
Can you feel the sense of surveillance and control, ironically the name of the band is The Police. I will not go on to explain about jealousy and being possessive. Instead, I will get back to telling you about how you can boost your landing page conversions.
Here is my less poetic modification of the lyrics:

every time you click, every time you read,
I’ll be watching you…..
As you can clearly see, my modified version will never as poetic as the original. Also, I do NOT know of any software that can track the breathing patterns of web visitors! However, I found this tool which can track almost every movement of your web visitors.
ClickTale
ClickTale is much more than a spy tool, I call it a surveillance tool because it records the movements of your visitors then it shows it to you as a video! It will show you exactly which section of your page is getting read and which is not.
Do not ask me how it is possible, I cannot explain how this technology works because I did not build this tool. All I know is, it works and it helps you to know exactly what to split test and where to fix. If this does not boost your conversions, I really do not know what will.
Most of people are limited to testing elements such as headlines, call to action, buttons and such, not anymore….. If you do know exactly what to split test other than the usual stuff, then you will find out when you use ClickTale.
It is so easy to install and if you are using WordPress, good news for you because there is a WordPress ClickTale Integration Plugin. This is great if you use WordPress as landing pages, just like me.
There is a free version of ClickTale, you can play around with it before you decide to invest in the paid version. Check it out to see if you like it. I sure do, which is the reason why I strongly recommend that you use it too.

I recommend ClickTale as the best usability tool. The heat maps, real time videos, aggregate behaviors and analytics are second to none!
