“Project Covert Persuasion Review…..”

Persuasion is a huge topic, there are endless books written about it, endless programs and course created. In fact, there are quite a number of people in the self improvement market place who are very well known for teaching persuasion strategies, techniques, tips and tricks. If you are in business, marketing or sales, both online and offline, you must know how to persuade well.

What you are about to read is a review of Project Covert Persuasion. Is it any good? If yes, can it help you in your business right now at this current moment? Read on to discover your answers…..

“At the end of reasons comes persuasion…..”
- Ludwig Wittgenstein (1889-1951)
Famous Austrian-British Philosopher

Before you continue…..

You might be thinking, is this is another silly sales pitch disguised as a review and loaded with endless affiliate links all over?

Sorry to disappoint you, it is NOT! This review is very comprehensive yet at the same time I had to be very careful not to reveal every detail.

This review will show you the facts, features, benefits, weakness of Project Covert Persuasion.

This was written to help you make a better decision so that you will know in advance if this course will suit you.

After all, you do not want to go through the hassle of asking for a refund after you just bought something which does not help you, right? Let me help you save your precious time…..

Project Covert Persuasion Volume 1: (65 Pages)
Persuasion In Everyday Life

This volume is all about the foundation and fundamental ideas in persuasion. Having read a good number of books and courses on persuasion, I had this impression that I can skip the entire volume because I think I am an expert.

I still went on to read it so that I can write a better review. It was better than I expected. Even though I think I am pretty good with persuasion, this is like a refresher course for me. After all, nobody has perfect memory.

If you are not familiar with persuasion, building rapport and topics like that, this will be like a super quick crash course for you to understand this topic before you start to apply any of them in your business.

Nothing controversial, illegal or strange in this volume. In fact, I find that the writers did their research well. Everything seems to be practical, ethical and best of all, simple to understand and apply.

Project Covert Persuasion Volume 2: (100 Pages)
Persuasion In Internet Marketing

After you have read the first volume, you are now ready for the second volume because the first volume sets the stage so that the second volume can work for you. This is a set of very specific strategies for internet marketing and it can work for many different markets.

This volume is divided into these main sections…..

Landing Pages

Pay Per Click

Article Marketing

Market Research

“People HATE to be sold, they LOVE to buy…..”

Here is where I will show you a sneak preview of the topics which are covered. As always, out of respect for the publishers, I cannot tell you everything, however, you will get to see the main points.

Landing Pages

1) Grab the attention of your readers.
2) Capture their interest and emphasize relevance.
3) Build a strong desire for your product or service.
4) Get them to take action. Tell them EXACTLY what to do.

This section also covers editorial style review writing, comparison review pages, preselling tips, squeeze pages and a little bit of email marketing.

Pay Per Click

1) Careful selection of keywords.
2) Knowledgeable bidding of keywords
3) Effective and persuasive landing page.
4) Smooth sales process.

This section is mainly about ad writing, such as using persuasive words in a persuasive manner to maximize clicks and put more money in your pocket.

Article Marketing

1) 7 rules of powerful articles.
2) Persuasive article titles.
3) Persuasive body content.
4) Persuasive resource box.

This section is all about article marketing and how you can persuade more people (in a cool way) to click on your links to go visit your website.

Market Research

1) How to spot profitable niche markets.
2) Keywords which can attract buyers.
3) Keywords for pay per click.
4) Keywords for articles.

This section is more about research and how the elements of persuasion fits into the whole picture. Nothing new to me yet quite useful.

Weakness

Alright, so far, I have been telling you all the good stuff. As always, there is no such thing as a perfect course, product, service or system. Here is how this will NOT work for you…..

“5 Covert Persuasion Triggers…..”

Like it or not, you are considered a compliance professional because you are running an online business and most of the time, you are telling people to buy stuff or take some form of action like entering an email or a zip code.

We shall continue from the previous post and take a look at another 5 time-tested proven persuasion triggers and see how you can use them specifically to put more profits into your pocket.

Persuasion Trigger #5: Stories

Let me tell you a story….. in the beginning, before mankind started writing on stone or paper, all they did was tell stories. As simple as it sounds, stories are powerful and almost hypnotic. Did I just tell you a story?

The bible for example is full of stories and you can learn a lot from these stories, I am sure you can remember at least a few stories from the bible, David slaying Goliath, Moses parting the red sea, Noah and his arc, Jesus and his countless miracles of healing.

Stories are simple, conversational, friendly, comfortable, easy to absorb, easy to understand and easy to remember, so use it whenever you can. Use them in your sales copy, your blog posts, your emails and more.

Persuasion Trigger #6: Authority

Authority does not always mean blue uniform, it can come in a form of expert status. For example, if you are an author of some book, people would consider you as an authority in your field.

If you appeared in the media, like television, radio, newspapers, magazines or some publications, people automatically associate you as an expert or authority in your market place.

When you are very experienced or well-known in a certain field, you can be seen as an authority. People tend to believe whatever experts say because experts know what they are doing or they appear to know what they are doing!

Some people abuse this by showing irrelevant authority. For example, you see actors who act as doctors showing up in ads as doctors recommending some product! These guys did not go to medicine school! This is deceptive advertising!

Persuasion Trigger #7: Scarcity

If you do not read my blog post it will disappear in 3 seconds, if you do not buy my product, it will be sold out in the next 2 minutes….. how many times have you heard people say that kind of nonsense?

They want to make their product look very time limited so that you will be persuaded to buy right now instead of later. However, the way most people do it, they are simply lying and their audience can smell the stench of their lies!

Maybe the information you are selling is highly confidential and you only want few people to know it. Who knows you might only have a limited quantity of your products being stocked. Perhaps you are having a time limited special sale.

Scarcity tactics will cause people to have the urge to buy now, it is powerful so do not abuse it. Use it carefully so that you are not lying to people and making them look stupid.

Persuasion Trigger #8: Reason Why

Reason why is such an important trigger because without a reason to do something nobody will bother to do anything at all, right? The word because is so powerful because it connects a reason to an action.

If you give people enough good reasons to do something, they will do it! If for every 1 logical reason, you give 2 emotion reasons to support it, your power to persuade will be stronger.

From now on, every time you ask someone to do something, give them a reason and you will see more people agree with you. The more valid your reason or reasons, the better it works.

Have you heard this….. make your bed, brush your teeth, wash your face, eat your vegetables because I am your mom! (or mum) Sounds very familiar, right?

Persuasion Trigger #9: Curiosity

Curiosity kills the cat! Fortunately, you are not a cat! This 1 single factor could be the most power psychological trigger of all, which is the reason why I chose to put it right at the end.

Newspapers and magazines headlines that get people curious are usually the ones that sell well. Anything controversial, unusual or even strange will cause curiosity.

I guess many people are so bored with their lives that anything that makes them curious gets their attention. Think about it this way, if you cannot get the attention of others, all other persuasion triggers will have no chance to take place, right?

Based on personal experience, my pay per click ads with the highest click through rates are those that cause some level of curiosity. Squeeze pages cause you to be curious enough to enter your email even when you may not know the person behind it.

Persuasion Summary

Use these triggers to get the attention of people first before getting them do what you tell them to do. Make sure what you tell them to do or buy will only benefit them if not, you are nothing but a big fat liar. We do not need more of such liars!

To get the best results and turn almost everything to your favor, combine more than 1 trigger and use them all in a row. Trust me, you will see better results than you expect.

Last but not least, these persuasion or influence triggers are extremely powerful, use them to serve people, not to exploit them.

Enjoy…..

“4 Covert Persuasion Triggers…..”

Many good marketers, sales professional and business people understand that persuasion is useful, powerful and totally essential to their success. As long as you have to tell others to do something, you are considered a compliance professional. That includes managers, trainers, teachers, parents and more.

We shall take a good look at some time-tested proven persuasion triggers and see how you can use them specifically in your online business. Let this be a super quick persuasion crash course.

Persuasion Trigger #1: Social Proof

Most people like to believe that majority is right, in fact, we all conditioned to think that way. As long as we see enough of other people doing something, we would think that it is alright to do the same.

Most people put testimonials and success stories on their websites, so they can influence others to believe what they say. Nobody wants to be the odd 1 out which is why people would feel safer when they see others doing what they are about to do.

If you are an affiliate and you have review or presell pages, you are providing social proof for whatever you are promoting. You are showing others that it is a good offer and they should take it.

You can see people abuse this by putting up fake testimonials, fake product reviews and all that, so be careful.

Persuasion Trigger #2: Reciprocity

Give and take? Reciprocity is all about that! When you do someone a favor first, the chances of them doing you a favor in return is so much higher than if you did not do them a favor in the first place.

You will notice many internet marketers and bloggers giving away free information and some of those information are so good that you just cannot find it anywhere else. Now you feel a sense of gratitude towards them, in fact you trust them more, right?

This is why during product launches, the people selling stuff will give away free stuff to you to get you to feel grateful to them so that the chances of you buying their stuff goes all the way up.

Persuasion Trigger #3: Contrast

I learnt about this in my previous sales career. There was an insurance sales professional who always quoted a $1,000,000 sum assured for almost all his potential client.

He sold very few of those, however, he ended up selling a lot more than the industry average! Not only his sales conversion rate was so much higher, his amount per sale on average was among the highest in his company.

This is the law of contrast and comparison in action!

The smart sales person will usually show you the most expensive cars or clothes first before showing you the rest. When you compare the very expensive stuff to everything else, it all seems cheaper than it really is.

Why not create a premium service which cost a lot more then you can easily downsell anything else. When someone does take up your service, you must do it well, however, if nobody takes it up, what have you got to lose?

Persuasion Trigger #4: Liking

As you know people usually buy stuff from people, they know, like and trust. First, you must let others get to know you, give them some free tips to get them to like you and when they trust you, it is easy for them to spend money with you.

This is where market research comes in, find out the demographics, wants, desires, fears of your audience and communicate with them in a way that resonates with them. This is how you build instant rapport, liking and trust. Get to know them first!

If you have a pen name or you are using personality marketing, your character need to be more like your audience so that they can see you as 1 of them and it makes it so much easier for them to believe what you say.

Next

You want more? Check out these 5 covert persuasion triggers. At the end, I will show you how to use these triggers to turn almost everything to your favor.
