“Basic Tutorials:
DNS And Cpanel…..”

As simple or as easy as it seems, go ahead and have a look, it will save you a lot of time. The following links will lead you to different parts of this page. If you are new to domain names and cpanel, or you forgot what to do, this is for you…..

DNS (NameCheap)

Tutorials (Basic) Login to your NameCheap account, click Manage Domains (on the top bar) then click on the domain which you want to update, this is what you would see.

Click on Domain Name Server Setup, this is what you would see.

Enter your DNS information and save it. If you are unsure of your DNS, contact your web hosting support.

DNS (GoDaddy)

Login to your GoDaddy account, click Domain Manager (on the left side bar) then click on the domain which you want to update, this is what you would see.

Click on Nameservers, this is what you would see.

Enter your DNS information and save it. If you are unsure of your DNS, contact your web hosting support.

Cpanel

From this point onwards, you would need to login to your cpanel. If you are unsure of your cpanel details, contact your web hosting support.

Addon Domains

Click on Addon Domains.

Enter your domain name and password then click Add Domain!.

Sub-Domains

Click on Subdomains.

Enter your sub-domain, select your domain and click Create.

File Manager

Click on File Manager.

Click on public_html.

You would see folders that look like this.

Select your folder and click on Upload.

MySQL Database

Click on MySQL Databases.

Enter the name of your new database and click Create Database.

Enter the name and password of your new user and click Create User.

Add user to database and click Add. Give your database and user the same name so that you will not get confused later on.

Select ALL PRIVILEGES and click Make Changes.

Email

This idea will not only allow you to manage multiple email addresses from a single GMail account, your emails will not take up any space on your server.

Click on Forwarders.

Click on Add Forwarder.

Add your new email (Address to Forward) and enter the GMail address (Forward to email address) which your new email to forward to.

Click on Forwarder.

GMail

Now you can add your new email into GMail. Login to your GMail account, click Settings, then click Accounts.

Click Add another email address.

Enter your name and email then click Next Step.

Click on Send Verification.

Click on Settings, then click Filter.

Click on Create a new filter.

Enter your new email (To:).

Skip the Inbox and Apply the label. Enter a label (folder) of your choice.
